a jellybean-a-thon sunki

maybe the jellybeans have eaten my brain, perhaps the full moon this week has just gotten to me, or (most likely) all of this garment sewing has completely removed the words from my brain.

what i want to tell you is this... "i made a dress. yay jellybeans! go make shit. yay you!!"

but i suppose there are a few other things that need saying.

the fabric is Thomas Knauer for Andover Fabrics, ten jellybean prints in all. the pattern is the sunki dress by Figgy's (size 8/9). the only pattern modification i made was to add a lined contrast hem band.

i love every single thing about this dress.

i love that the pockets are faced with a different print; i love that you can see the tiniest hint of that from the front of the dress.

i love that the neck facings are made up of the same prints from the hem band.

i love that right now you have no idea which of those prints is where on the inside.

i love the bright blue topstitching.

i love that this fabulous girlie paired this dress with a striped shirt and crazy leggings.

i love the orange zipper.
