i'm happy to have the bubble shorts by doGuincho pattern tour stopping by today!
earlier this month (last month?), Marta from doGuincho emailed to ask if i would test her first pattern, the bubble shorts. remember these amazing bubble shorts she made during shorts on the line? i was smitten with them, so of course i jumped at the chance to make my own.
when my girls both informed me that they weren't interested in bubble shorts (sillies), i decided to whip up a pair for my favorite little moxie girl, Jane... Jane of Jill of Made with Moxie, that is.
i was seriously impressed with the bubble shorts pattern. the instructions are great, the pattern pieces drafted perfectly, and the illustrations are perfection. super duper extra impressed, i tell you. i'm a big fan of clean construction methods and well thought-through designs, and this pattern offers both. plus an adorable end product. well done, Marta.
Jane's size three bubble shorts are made with a fun number print from 2wenty Thr3e by Eric and Julie Comstock; the lining and waistband are a dandelion stripe from Lotta Jansdotter's Glimma line. from what i understand, she put them on straight out of the post and ran off to play. sounds like a win to me, and how fun do they look on this little woodsy adventure?
you can read more about the bubble shorts pattern here, and grab your own copy in the doGuincho etsy shop.
